A new way of looking at an aging face is not focused on facial descent but depletion of facial volume. Therefore volume restoration using autologous fat grafting is the method which the aging process can be corrected.

A unique alternative to traditional surgery and the usual c l a s s i c a l f a t i n j e c t i o n i s FA M I - F a t A u t o g r a f t M u s c l e I n j e c t i o n , which is a more advanced technique providing a longer lasting result. Adding this technique to my armamentarium changed the way on how I rejuvenate the Asian face that has a unique skin type and their ethnic and cultural differences in their p e r c e p t i o n o f b e a u t y.

The procedure is done as an outpatient procedure with a mandatory local anesthesia. Fat is harvested using a syringe followed by high speed centrifugation to c oncentrate and separate the adult stem cells. Fat is grafted in thin strands to the muscles and bones of the face using a special blunt cannula to correct and rejuvenate, repair and restore the shape and contours of the face.
