4 Demonstrate the capacity to work effectively with external professionals, teachers aides and communitybased personnel to enhance student learning opportunities.

At this Practicum, I had the opportunity to run the whole school assembly. There were sixty students on performance and members of the community as well. As part of the normal school routine, the classes are required to host an assembly twice a term and I was fortunate enough to co-ordinate this assembly which involved, the local member of parliament and the sports member for the Hoxton Area.

7.1.6 Demonstrate the capacity to liaise, communicate and interact effectively and appropriately with parents, caregivers, colleagues, industry and the local communty.

This workshop for parents and carers of indigenous children was conducted through the Aboriginal Land council in Liverpool. The school that I worked at as an aide sponsored my involvement and participation in the course so as to assist the members of the Indigenous community.
