The man everyone recognizes, but no body knows In 1954 Joe Spud Murphy
began what is todays largest snack food company with just two rented rooms off Moore Street, Dublin. Truly, a remarkable story of one mans determination, his initial set up costs ran to a grand total of 500. The 4/28/12

The name Tayto originally came from the word potato. 35,000 tonnes of Irish potatoes are used in Mr. Taytos factory annually. Tayto in Chinese means Gentleman of the Potato and is pronounced phonetically as Tudou Mr. Tayto drives a monster truck and just got a new set of pimped wheels and will drive anywhere for a bit of craic Mr. Taytos favourite subject in school was Home Economics.
