It was the strangest sensation, gravity pulling at his toes, stretching space it self.

Most everyone thought he was crazy. There was no escape from his destinati on, at least in the classical sense. The information that he carried would event ually escape, evaporating ever so slowly off the surface of the black hole. What no one knew was that any trip for him was one way at this point. If his calculations where correct, gravity would warp time to the extent that th e final moment would never arrive. He found it rather funny that even if time st opped for him, everyone else would see him blink out of existence in a few secon ds. The fact that perception could be so completely different is one of the smal l miracles about our universe. At this point, depending were you where sitting, he would either be fine or stretched out past the breaking point. He had to admit, gravity losing it's mind felt strange, but stranger still was t he experience of time warping. He couldn't be quite sure if a moment or an eon h ad just gone by. Crossing the event horizon felt like it was taking an eternity. He was now privy to something absolutely no one had seen. The black beneath the surface was a bit of let down though, he could see the observers perfectly. He, on the other hand, had disappeared from view entirely. He was gambling on the black hole ending his existence before the cancer growing inside him. It was the only thing he hadn't included in his calculations. The d ilation of time was affecting the biological clock of his body, excluding the ca ncer. For all intensive purposes, the cancer had stopped growing, at least from his point of view. It seemed the gamble had paid off. What he hadn't considered was the fact that the singularity being one dimensional would give him an eterni ty to consider every aspect of his decision. It was too late to go back. Escape velocity was now faster than the speed of lig ht. He had found eternity. Eternity in a moment.
