General Summary of the study:

This research study entitled “How to get failing

grades- A study on the different factors affecting the failed
subjects of Letran students SY-2007-2008.” Is conducted to
answer the problem “___________.” The aim of the study
is to give information to the students about factors that
causes failure in academic aspect of the students. It is also
beneficial for the teachers and parents because they can
acquire knowledge why the students fail and so they will
know what action they can do to help the students.
To achieve these objective, the researcher used the
descriptive survey as our research design which dictates
how the variables are partly controlled by the situation but
they are also partly controlled by the investigator who
chooses the sample for the study.
The researcher were able to determine the sample size
of the study by this formula:

Where n is the sample size, N is the total number of

population and e is the sampling error, which is 0.05
(moderately serious)
The researcher used the questionnaire as the research
instrument for data gathering.
The statistical tool, mean for ungrouped data is used to
answer the problem stated in this research study.
