Directions to the Philadelphia, PA rowing venue at Kelly Drive

To approach the venue driving on river side of Kelly Drive (recommended for vehicles with passes for parking along Kelly Drive & all towing vehicles): 1. Take the Schuylkill Expressway westbound to EXIT 340A, Lincoln/Kelly Drive. (about 11 miles from the Walt Whitman Bridge tolls, 4.5 miles from the Vine Street exit onto the Schuylkill, 4 miles past boathouse row, 2 miles past the racecourse grandstand and mile past the Roosevelt Blvd/US Rt. 1 exit).

Just before Exit 340A, you will approach U.S. Route 1 North - Roosevelt Expressway (Exit 34). Take the CENTER lanes (under the sign to Valley Forge.) After passing Roosevelt Blvd., transition from the middle lane to the right lane and bear RIGHT to take Exit 340A (Kelly Drive / Ridge Avenue).

2. At the bottom of Exit 340A, turn RIGHT at the stop sign, and move to the far left lane as you go over City Avenue bridge across the Schuylkill River, following the signs for Kelly Drive. The ramp will spiral downwards in a counter-clockwise direction on a tight, descending curve. Go slow and be prepared to yield to oncoming traffic before merging onto Kelly Drive.

3. Proceed 1 miles on Kelly Drive to Strawberry Mansion Bridge. If the roadblock is up, those without passes must take the detour to the left onto Reservoir Dr., go past the 1st Edgley Dr., past Diamond St. and take the 2nd Edgley Drive entrance. Park along Edgley Dr. and walk down the Ormiston trail to the regatta venue. (Parking is mile past Strawberry Mansion Bridge, walk is ~ mile to venue). Those with parking passes proceed for mile straight on Kelly Drive (past the Canoe Club and St. Joes Boathouse) and park diagonally near the school tent trailer.
