to copy text from a pdf document:

select the select text tool by either of the following:

select the select text toolbar button.
choose tools > select text.
highlight the text to copy and do one of the following:
click control + c.
choose edit > copy.
right-click and select copy.
paste the text into another application.
to copy all text from a pdf document:
set the page layout to continuous by either of the following:
choose view > continuous.
in the status bar, select the continuous page display option.
select the select text tool by either of the following:
select the select text toolbar button.
choose tools > select text.
select all the text by either of the following:
choose edit > select all.
right-click and choose select all.
click control + a.
to copy, do one of the following:
click control + c.
choose edit > copy.
right-click and select copy.
paste the text into another application.
