    Romania misses Euro 2012 Romanian Times Romania's national football team ended with a draw 1-1 against

    Albania, that clo ses the competition for qualifying for the Euro 2012 competition. Despite new coach Victor Piturca, Romania's national football team failed to win against Albania, in Tirana, on Tuesday night. Salihi scored for Albania in minute 24, while Luchin scored for Romania during t he second half, in minute 77. Head coach Victor Piturca said, after the match: "Unfortunately, we didn't have strength in this match, I wished to win these two meetings (note: against Belaru s too). We must be satisfied with this draw, we could have lost. "My objective is to qualify for the World Cup in 2014, we have chances to go the re." Romania ended in 3rd place in Group D, with 14 points, and failed to qualify for Euro 2012.
