To Do List of further revisions

1. Revise MANUSCRIPT.
a. Overall revisions of formatting, section numbering, adherence to APA style
(esp. citations & referencing), and general proofreading & copyediting (Judy &
Hajime).
b. Add references and notes, referring to specialized ESP literature where
appropriate (Judy & Hajime).
c. Revise FIGURE 1, esp., change “Precedents” to “USCC” (Hajime).
d. Check necessity and accuracy of Japanese definitions in section 1.3.7. If
necessary to retain these, check Romanization and add proper reference for
citation (Judy).
e. Check layout and formatting of raw data from corpus in section 1.3.7; revise
where necessary (Judy).
f. Revise REFERENCES section (Judy).
i. Check to make sure that Fanning, P. (1977) conforms to APA style.
ii. Add retrieval date for online version of The American Heritage
Dictionary.
iii. Add page numbers for Long & Robinson (1998) book section.
2. Revise ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS section where necessary (Hajime).
3. Revise ABSTRACT: reduce to under 200 words (Judy).
4. Revise list of KEYWORDS where appropriate; should conform to Linguistics and
Language Behaviour Abstracts (Hajime & Judy).
5. Revise and add to list of potential REVIEWERS (Judy).
6. Add authors’ BIOGRAPHIES (Judy & Hajime).
7. Add author CONTACT INFO: institution address on TITLE PAGE (Judy).
8. Check & Revise COVER LETTER (Hajime).
