Due to the new availability the subscription level increased from 300,000 subscribers to over 18 million households. In 2009, Film4 gained a +1 channel and was also placed as channel on Freeview. This increased attention from its audience. Budget: The budget of Film4 is basically controlled by the Channel 4 Corporation, its owner. Channel 4 has recently increased Film4s budget by 50% up to 15 million. Partnerships and associates: Film4 is provided by ITN, as that is the company that usually sponsors and associates with the Channel 4 Corporation. Channel 4 is also in partnership with Bauer media group for a lot of its work. On average, Film4 produces around 4-5 films a year.
