Freedom!
that takes on new meaning to all of us on this 4th of July, our founh in wartime. \7e have much to think about, now that the holocauSt in Europe is over. The long lifts of our dead and v'ounded is living proof that our forefathers, in their infinite wisdom, were right when they said, "ConStant vigilance is the price of Liberry." \7e haven't achieved full Vi&ory yet, and we out here in the vaSt stretches of the Pacific know that it is a long way off. S7ith this rcalization let us not forget the moSt valuable lesson we have learned from this moSt horrible of all wars: "The seeds of future 'wars are in the words of the demagogues who
. . . A precious word

preach Intolerance, Racial discrimination, Religious

discrimination, and diftrust of our fellowmen." Let all Americans think carefully of these things on this moft precious and moSt sacreil of all our

National holidays.
