Communication: Communication is an art of transference and understanding of meaning. # There are two types of Communications: a. Verbal Communication b. Non Verbal Communication

# Communication serves four major functions: a. Control function # Communication Process: Sender Encoding Channel Decoding (Arrows denote forwarding of Message) Feedback Message: Message is the actual physical product from the source encoding. Sender: Sender initiates a message by encoding a thought. There are four conditions that affect the encoded message: KSA formula a. Skill b. Attitude c. Knowledge d. Social Cultural System (Values & beliefs) Receiver b. Motivation c. Emotional Expression d. Information

Encoding: Converting a communication message into symbolic form. Channel: The medium through which a communication message travels Decoding: Retranslating the senders communication message Feedback: Feedback is the final link in the communication process which puts the message back into the system as a check against misunderstanding.
