Assertiveness
It is the ability to express yourself and your rights without violating the rights of others. It helps you to be self confident and will gain you respect of your peers and friends. It is presenting your view tactfully, justly and effectively . It is different from being aggressive and selfish,coz aggressiveness means you express your rights at the expense of humiliating others.

Techniques for assertiveness


Be as specific and clear as possible about what

you want, think and feel. Own and acknowledge your message. Ask for feedback.
