1. One day when Jodys father went to the forest, he has been bitten by a raffle snake. 2.

To save his life, he immediately kills a doe and uses its heart and liver to draw out the poison. 3. Jody was very much upset about fawn left without a mother. 4. He wants to take the little fawn to his home. 5. For that he begs to his parents and got the permission to go to the forest along with Mill Wheel and his horse to bring the fawn back to his home. 6. They reached to the place where Jodys father Penny got bitten by the snake and killed the doe and saw the fawn. 7. Suddenly Joe was unwilling to have Mill Wheel with him because he didnt want to share the happiness and sad things while searching for the fawn. 8. When Mill Wheel returns to home, Jody continues his search for the little fawn and he finds the place where he saw the fawn last time. 9. As a wild guess he cuts to the right to find the little deer.

10. He went on moving silently. 11. He wondered for an instance if he had mistaken his directions. 12. He finds the carcass of the doe which was consumed by Buzzard under the oaks. 13. He didnt find the fawn there. 14. Then he looks for any tracks, traces or small foot prints at the sand. 15. But he was disappointed. 16. Yesterdays rain washed away all the tracks. 17. Suddenly he came to find out the fawn. 18. When the fawn saw him, the little one didnt make any attempt to run away from him. 19. Jody stroked its sides as gently as possible.

20. The he rose slowly and lift the fawn from the ground. 21. He along with his fawn in his hands, walks as fast as he could until he came to the intersection with the road to his home. 22. Then he rest for few minutes and continued to walk. 23. The little fawn follows him wherever Jody go. 24. At last he returns back to his home. 25. Penny was also very happy and he finds brightness in the eyes of both Jody and fawn. 26. Finally he gave the little fawn a lot of milk and the fawn sucked it greedily.
