CIRRUS CIRROCUMULUS CUMULUS NIMBUS CLOUDS

Thin, white, transparent clouds which look like feathers and


they are very high on the sky. Cirrus clouds are the highest
clouds. Cirrus (meaning "curl") clouds are made of ice .
I. CIRRUS:
They usually mean fair weather.

Cumulus clouds look like huge puff of cotton. They are


white clouds with regular flat bottoms and curl top. They
are low in the sky and they often change their appearance.
They appear in the morning and disappear at night.
Sometimes these clouds look like animals or familiar things.
II.CIRROCUMULUS It is fun to use your imagination to make up stories about
the clouds.
III. CUMULUS
Cumulus clouds usually mean fair weather. If they grow
tall, they can become thunderheads and bring rain.

They are huge cumulus with a dark base and they look
IV. NIMBUS like towers. Sometimes cumulus clouds get dark grey and
CLOUDS rain or hail falls from them. They are then called
cumulonimbus clouds..

They bring bad weather (rain and storms).These clouds often


produce lightning and thunder.
