Sanity Rally
Sanity Rally
SPEECH [UP 2 SECONDS, THEN UNDER: 20] YEAGER: Tens of thousands of people have descended on the National Mall in Washington DC for a sanity rally. Comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert lead the pack by poking fun at the nations media coverage and partisanship just three days before the national mid term elections. [:20] STEWART...RUNS: 10! ! OUT: IN HARD TIMES, NOT END TIMES.
[CROWD CHEERING, THEN UNDER: 30] YEAGER: Part comedy and part serious talk, the political disenchanted came out with humorous signs and some dressed in costume since Halloween was only a day away. Jon Stewart, who hosts the Comedy Central shows aptly called the Daily Show, made sure to point out it was not a political rally but rather a place to get away from the insults and political pandering that has been happing this election season. Both Adam and Susan Jobin came out to, hopefully, restore some sanity to the nation. JOBINS...RUNS: 10! ! OUT: YES WE ARE FOR SANITY
YEAGER: Stewart and Colbert didnt take political sides at the rally and it seemed like the crowd was actually diverse in personal opinions. This is Travis Yeager reporting. [:10]
