Then bring on the open micers in Quest for the Best. We have a word for the week. This week it is Torture. Each comic is supposed to use that word in their set. Encourage the audience to cheer the comic when the word is included. There are two finalists in each heat. Both will go through to the preliminary finals in October. The Grand Final is held in November and the best comic wins $5000.00 cash The Bell will be sounded at 4 mins Bell will sound twice at 5 mins The audience votes for the winner. They are given a ballot paper when they arrive. Please encourage them to complete the ballot paper, naming their favourite comic on the night PLUS Their email address. (This is how we build our database) Then the staff will collect the voting slips and go off and count the ballot papers (takes about 5 mins) You can stay on stage and banter OR well play music. (recommended) When the judges return:

o The email address of audience is drawn out-they win a bottle of wine o The winning comic also gets a bottle of wine (bring on stage) o The runner up comic gets huge applause.(bring on stage) Make sure you have funthis is an easy gig. Enjoy!
