FARONICS ANTI-EXECUTABLE STANDARD README This document is not a substitute for the Faronics Anti-Executable Standard user guide.

1. Double-click the appropriate MSI file to begin the installation process: AESTD_32-bit_en.msi can be installed on 32-bit editions of Windows XP SP3, Windo ws Vista or Windows 7. AESTD_64-bit_en.msi can be installed on 64-bit editions of Windows XP SP2, Windo ws Vista or Windows 7. Editions for Windows Server 2003/2008 (as well as Enterprise editions) can be do wnloaded separately from http://www.faronics.com. 2. When prompted for a License Key, enter one to install a fully licensed editio n of Anti-Executable Standard. If a License Key is not entered, Anti-Executable will run as an evaluation version and will be operational for up to 30 days afte r installation. An expired evaluation version will not protect a machine. An evaluation version can be converted to a fully licensed version by entering a valid License Key. Li cense Keys may be purchased from Faronics or a Faronics partner. Licenses are sp ecific to the Standard (XP/Vista/Windows 7) or Standard Server (Server 2003/2008 ) operating systems. For more information, please visit http://www.faronics.com. 3. Restart the workstation after installation has completed. 4. After the restart, access Anti-Executable's settings by holding down the Shif t key and double-clicking the Anti-Executable icon in the Windows System Tray. A lternatively, the CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + F10 hotkey sequence can be used. 5. Configure Anti-Executable as required. A White List will need to be created o n the White Lists tab and Anti-Executable will need to be enabled on the Status tab. Refer to the Anti-Executable Standard user guide for information regarding all features.
