Sleep is nothing but the least active state of brain cells, ie, the amount of thought
(magnetic) waves produced by brain cells will be very less while sleeping, and
therefore an EEG reads 7-14 CPS during sleep. Meditation can also take us to
(and beyond), this frequency range. Meditation has something additional in it
though. During meditaton one can focus on a particular wave, in space, which is
also recorded and floats in the same frequency range where your mind goes into
during meditation. Such a focussing is being awake in meditation, and a mere
least activity of brain cells (during meditation) is sleep. There are some good
