Ecological Impacts - effect on living organism and their non-living (abiotic) environment due to human activity or natural phenomenon.

Tourism Demand - consumption of virgin territories & disruption of ecological life Industrialization - the process of social and economic change that transforms a human group from an agrarian society into an industrial one. Urbanization - the physical growth of urban areas as a result of global change. Pollution - the introduction of contaminants into a natural environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the ecosystem i.e. physical systems or living organisms. Overpopulation - is a condition where an organism's numbers exceed the carrying capacity of its habitat. Land Use - the human use of land that involves the management and modification of natural environment or wilderness into built environment such as fields, pastures, and settlements. Mining - Mining is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the earth, from an ore body, vein or (coal) seam. Illegal Logging - Illegal logging is the harvest, transportation, purchase or sale of timber in violation of laws. Overfishing - Overfishing occurs when fishing activities reduce fish stocks below an acceptable level. This can occur in any body of water from a pond to the oceans. Natural events that affects ecological life: Tsunami Flood Cyclonic Storms (typhoons, hurricane, tropical cyclone) Volcanic Eruption Earthquake Soil Erosion Drought Fires Climate Change Environmental Impact Assessment (EIS) - involves the conduct of environmental assessment on proposed projects and the subsequent government review of the environmental assessment report which would result in either issuance or denial of an environmental compliance certificate. International Association for Impact Assessment (AIAI) - performs the process of identifying, predicting, evaluating and mitigating the biophysical, social, and other relevant effects of development proposals prior to major decisions being taken and commitments made. Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) - operates as a sub-organization in the DENR with a direct line of command, usually with their own representative offices, down to the regional level.
