    This document investigates the influence of top management team composition on company performance in Indonesian companies. It analyzes the relationship between ownership, and the composition of top management teams (including factors like ethnicity, military presence, foreigner presence, women presence, education level and average age) on the performance of 117 Indonesian companies. The results show that most variables had an insignificant influence on performance, except that the presence of military members on the top management team had a significant impact.

    THE CASE OF INDONESIA

    ABSTRACT

    This thesis investigate the inIluence oI the top management team composition to
    Indonesian company perIormance. The variables are Ownership and the composition
    oI top management team (presence oI Chinese ethnics, presence oI military, presence
    oI Ioreigner, presence oI women, educational level and average age). The data taken
    Irom 117 Indonesian Companies, 100 companies Irom 100 Kompas Indeks and listed
    in Jakarta Stock Exchange and addition 17 State-Owned Companies. The result show
    most oI the variance are insigniIicant with the company perIormance, except presence
    oI military on top management team has signiIicant.
