BGB2013 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT GROUP PROJECT (20%) SEPTEMBER 2011

Do the project in a group of 4 to 5 students. The objective of this project is to get students to have a direct contact with an HR practitioner and gain new knowledge and experience from the person. The project should be able to teach students on management of high-potential (HIPO) employees in organizations. The person could be any one as long as he/she is handling staff development activities in the organization. You must use the survey form attached and ask the HR Manager to fill in the form. Based on the findings, write a brief report based on the data collected. Your final report must contain these items:

a. Brief description about the organization (including Section G of the survey form).
(1 to2 pages excluding appendixes if any) (5 Marks)

b. Brief report based on the data collected. Organize your reports based on the
section in the survey form (sections A to F of the survey form). ( 8-9 pages) (15 marks)

c. Section F gives you some hints on the effectiveness of the organizations HIPO
management. Based on the overall findings (from sections A to F): i. Explain the reasons for the ineffectiveness (or effectiveness) of the HIPO management. (2 pages) (10 Marks) ii. Recommend ways to enhance the effectiveness of the HIPO management. ( 3 pages) (10 Marks)
