EARL SLICK:SLOW DOWN SLICKY
Notes
Track #5 I picked this up in a remainders bin in Myer about 10 years ago one of those I like the cover choices Earl Slick has some pretty good musicians on this track Terry Bozzio on drums and Edgar Winter on Sax Track #13 From the album At the Crossroads, every tack on this album is a Robert Johnson original John is playing tonite at Rubys Lounge in Belgrave (ph 9754 7445) and next Thursday night at the Corner Hotel in Richmond Track #5 This is from a recording that has just surfaced from a a gig at the Palms caf in March 1977, released this year on Blues Boulevard Records Track 13, this is one of those chancy buys where you keep your fingers crossed until you play it and you know you have judged the book by its cover and its all ok the album is called Lightning Strikes Track #3 from Brand New Blues This was the first Blues album that Cyril Neville has released. He has always been a part of the Neville Brothers sound . Tab Benoit Track 14 Trak#4 from the Blues Collection series of Cds from the early 90s Tk # 6 thi si from a double Live album recorded in Montreuz this is from the first time Stevie played there in 1982 and he was not received favoiurably and booed after nearly every song. He palyed there again in1985 and bythat time his name was well known and the reception was totally positive FROMMTHE HENDRIX TRIBUTE AS PROMISED LAST WEEK
