    How many of you have had problems installing either Service Pack 2 or Service Pa ck 3 for SQL Server 2005? Well, follow the steps below and you shall have your f ix!!! The problems that I have been having were related to SQL Server 2005 Express Edi tion, but I believe this works for other flavors as well. 1. Download and install the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This needs to be installed on the problem PC. 2. Go to All Progams and run the Cleanup Utility. 3. Select the MSXML 6.0 entrie(s) and remove them. Note: If there are any MSXML 4.0 entries, you can leave these. 4. Run automatic update again and the service pack will install! Note: The new service pack will reinstall the MSXML Parser.
