you worked on. Observation and recommendations: Describe the nature of the working relationship with your supervisor at the organization AND with your class partner/s: what worked well and why, what needs improvement and why. What kinds of learning happened in the process of your service with the organization: what do you know now about non-profits? (their challenges, their contributions, their needs) what did you learn about yourself and your abilities(material and process skills, communication skills, time management skills, project management skills, organizational skills) Non-profits were chosen that are outside the art world venues. How do you characterize your reception as artists in your setting? What do you see as the (possible) role of artists in such venues? Would you consider doing volunteer work in this or another non-profit outside of the art community again? What would you do differently in the future? What worked especially well? If you were a volunteer coordinator at a non-profit, what suggestions would you have for organizing volunteers? What advance training might have benefitted you in the CSL experience? Would you recommend that students go to your placement again and if so what preparation or suggestions could happen either in class or in the organization? Have you ever volunteered in a non-profit before? Please describe it and compare it to this recent experience if appropriate? ****Please draft a letter to your non-profit organization with thanks, noting the positive elements of the experience and the recommendations(to them) for future CSL experiences.
