Literacy Response Memoir Towards my Own Paper [14]

I believe this paper gives a good insight of the students past involvement in his previous English classes. A humorous story is given pointing it to being a little narrative. I do not believe an exact archetype can be pointed out on this student. The closest ones I could maybe see is rebel and child prodigy. The overall tone of his paper is not neither negative nor positive. He tells us of a bad time he had but also expresses the importance he feels English has on his personal life and everyone else around him. The persons past experience is seen as negative. They believe it is funny how bad his previous classes were. He seems to be close-minded to the fact that he might have actually learned from his teachers. He never points to the possibility that he had any trouble. So if might have been a child prodigy, and because of that he thought his previous teachers and classes were really awful. This person shows that he really does understand the importance of both reading and writing in society. He gives thought out real-life examples of how both would be put to every day use. He even uses a personal experience as a fast food worker to explain his reasoning. I do not believe this student has been challenged much in English. I also do not believe he wants to be challenged, which would point to the rebel archetype. He likes writing in his own style and expresses that he would rather just freely write as he pleases.

I believe the main thing this student needs to focus on this semester is to open-minded and be ready to be challenged. If not he will probably be in for a rude surprise.
