PRIOR TO ERECTION Carefully remove the protective coat of paint from the spherical faces of the bearing liners and the bearing hase parts and from the bearing journals of the sup- porting roller shafts. Use a high-aromatic solvent, e.g. ESSO°s Solvesso 100. Do not use paraffin oil, since this will promote rust formations. Next, apply a heavy oil to the spherical faces, e.g. FLS EP680 or FLS EP 1000. Do not remove the rust-proofing paint from the bright faces until the mounting of the individual component is imminent. The unprotected surfaces will be extremely rust-prone. After mounting, all bright surfaces must be carefully oiled to mini- mise the risk of rust formations. N-PBBenerk!
