How to rewire Reason audio outputs to the Flstudio mixer

1. Launch FLStudio, of course. 2. Insert a rewire client in FLStudio. This is just like inserting a vst plugin: Right-click on a channel in the step sequencer, go to insert and find an entry called ReWired. If its not in the list yet select the more option in this menu. A window will pop up with all available plugins on your system. Find ReWired, check the box on the left hand side (so you dont have to look for it in the future) and the double click ReWired.

3. Set the rewire client to Reason

4. Check the option multi outputs

5. Click Show panel. This will launch Reason for you. If this does not work just start reason yourself.

6. Take a good look at the picture on the next page. As you can see I have connected the outputs of the devices in reason (Maelstrom and Subtractor) directly to Reasons Hardware interface. When running in slave mode Reason automatically sends the signal of these outputs to the inputs of your host, in this case it gets sent to the fruity mixer. The connections are made like this: Reason 1&2 gets sent to the master track of FLStudio Reason 3 gets sent to channel 1 in the FL mixer Reason 4 gets sent to channel 2 in the FL mixer Reason 5 gets sent to channel 3 in the FL mixer And so on

Note that you can also use Midi-out modules in FLstudio to play Reasons instruments, so you dont have to mess around with 2 separate sequencer windows. Check the FLStudio & Reason help files on how to configure these connections. Have Fun, Hecticcc
