Ideas to Action is an SGA initiative primarily designed to empower students that aims to foster connectedness among students, student organizations, faculty, and the surrounding community. We believe SGA should cultivate a campus as unique as the people it serves. Each student at the Capstone is encouraged to further this mission by letting the ITA team know any way UA could further benefit your college experience. Ideas to Action is a distinct program unparalleled in its ability to enhance any students involvement irrespective of SGA affiliation. Creativity, compassion, and ambition are a few salient qualities of our team that allow us to serve most optimally. We also value progress and inventiveness; therefore idea submission and team applications are accepted year round. "Ideas to Action is a way to empower students in the most tangible way, said Nicole Bohannon, SGA Chief of Staff. We're so proud of some of the SGA programs that began as Ideas to Action submissions, like the annual SGA-NSBE Date Auction, Hands on Tuscaloosa, and others. Our team is currently working on initiatives involving environmental sustainability, Bama dining, and tornado relief, said Hannah Huddleston, Director of Ideas to Action. Ideas to Action exists as a means for students to orchestrate and carry out SGA initiatives irrespective of their previous and current SGA involvement. The Ideas to Action program has an unparalleled ability to give any student a voice by allowing them to personally create any reform or event they desire with an official SGA title and ITA team resources. Its definitely a lot of work to orchestrate campus wide reform or events, but we exist so each student has the ability to do just that. Students here are dynamic and unique and our primary goal is to have SGA projects that reflect such diversity. ###
