Creative writing cannot be explained in a simple paragraph.

It takes multiple pieces of work, each consisting of the writers innermost thoughts and feelings, to allow that label to be placed upon it. Creative writing is therapy. It is the literary expression of the words that are either too painful or too frightening to be spoken. It allows the writer to free themselves of their pent up emotions and continue living in the world with a clean slate and head held high. There are no restrictions in it, only the confines of the area between the lines in a journal, notebook, or binder. The principal that defines creative writing is its unpredictability. With that pencil in your hand, anythings possible.
