Culture refers to the specific learned norms that reflect the attitudes, values, beliefs, and customs of a society. cultural awareness involves continually developing your awareness of your own and others' cultures (including biomedical), to assist in the performance of your professional duties.

DOES GEOGRAPHY MATTER? Birds of a Feather Flock Together The more isolated people are, the less likely they will influence and be influenced by other cultures. Proximity also speeds cultural diffusion people generally have more contact with others nearby than those far away.

Business Etiquette for business in Saudi Arabia


In business circles, standard dress for men is a suit and tie. For casual wear, slacks and a shortsleeve shirt are acceptable, but shorts should not be worn in public. Small talk is vital for the establishment of trust and must not be hurried or dispensed with. In introductory business conversations, talk often centres on the health and wellbeing of the other person, but never about his wife and female relatives.
