While practising teaching English I have noticed that the pupils encounter some difficulties in learning this foreign

language. I managed it firstly by giving them a test to see their level, and then by teaching them some grammar rules properly. There were several problems which I would like to point out. One of them was the inappropriateness of the school books. They did not respond to the learners necessities. So their teacher (my mentor) decided to buy for them new books which they worked on. Another important problem is the absence of any article at all in the Ukrainian language. The children are very confused whenever they are to use it and often make mistakes. Another interesting thing that I have noticed during these three years is that pupils in Romania have more access to libraries and internet than those in Ukraine. Moreover, they have the chance to learn or improve their English by watching foreign films. But this is almost impossible in my country, because all of them are dubbed in Ukrainian.
