EE BASKETBALL GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The main purpose of this tournament is to promote camaraderie among Electrical Engineering students through basketball. 2. The teams are divided into two brackets with five teams each. Teams will undergo a single round-robin within their bracket. 3. After the elimination, only the top two teams from each bracket will advance to the semi-finals where the no. 1 seed of bracket A will face the second seed of bracket B in a do-or-die game. Likewise, the first seed of Bracket B will face the second seed of bracket A. 4. The losing teams will face each other in a battle-for-third while the winners will go through a best-of-three championship series. 5. Team jerseys depend upon the discretion of the team. 6. Every game shall be in a ten-minute quarter format. Running time shall be observed during the first three quarters while dead-clock is observed on the fourth quarter. 7. In case of a tie at the end of regulation, five-minute overtime is observed. 8. Players have a maximum of five fouls each. Team captains, however, have six. 9. Unsportsmanlike fouls shall automatically result to banning the offender from playing in the league. 10. Only players listed in the official line-up submitted are allowed to play during games. 11. Teams are allotted with two full time-outs per half. 12. In case of tardiness, a team is given a maximum time of 15 minutes to gather in the court before they shall be forfeited from the game. 13. Teams are required to pay P60.00 per game as payment for court usage. 14. Neither the school nor the organization shall be held responsible in any case of injuries and/or accidents on and off the court.
