I absolutely love the Christmas Season!

I can hardly wait to put up decorations until after Thanksgiving and I never want to take them down until after the New Year. I love wrapping gifts while listening to Christmas songs. I love sipping hot cocoa mixed with coffee and cinnamon candies. I love watching wood smoke drift in the air from neighboring homes on a snowy day. I love taking time to watch a Christmas movie or read a Christmas book. I especially love the expression on my grandchildrens faces as they look up to see my large Nutcracker Soldiers standing atop my bookshelves. In fact, my oldest grandson asked me on Thanksgiving day, "Granne' where's your Nutcrackers?" Lol! His mother started putting up their tree the day before Thanksgiving (wonder where she gets that). I know that this can also be a hard time of the year for those without family or even those serving in a distant land. I know that some are having physical, emotional or financial challenges this year. I believe that Joy isn't something that we're automatically given; things aren't always like we wish them to be. Believe me each Christmas hasn't been perfect for me either, but despite my circumstances, I choose Joy! It is my prayer that everyone reading this Blog post will be able to experience a Season of Joy! ; )
