Pan-AIricanism is a movement promoting cooperation among and independence Ior people oI

AIrican descent, linking civil rights struggles in the AIrican Diaspora with national liberation
struggles in AIrica.
1
The Pan-AIricanism movement was Iormed to unite AIrican people
throughout the world that scattered due to the AIrican Diaspora. The Pan AIrican movement was
established as a counteraction against racism and European colonialism. I would be in Iavor oI
any positive AIrican movement or association in today`s society. It would provide the
opportunity Ior people oI AIrican decent to join together as a unity and learn about ourselves.
Despite the Iact that racism and inequality is not on the IoreIront as it was years ago, it still
exists. It`s sad to say that racism even exists among Black individuals. Some Blacks Ieel superior
to or look down on other Black individuals. In today`s society, II Pan-AIricanism was rebirth; I
personally think that it would be a beautiIul thing. However, I do not think that it will be
welcomed by society. I believe that the movement would be misinterpreted by some individuals,
especially Europeans. I think that they will Ieel as iI Black people are joining Iorces to be
'against them. I also believe that some Black people will misinterpret the idea oI Pan-
AIricanism and act as iI Blacks are opposed Whites, when in actuality, the Pan-AIricanism
movement would be to teach us about ourselves. It`s would be a good experience only iI
everyone was not already brainwashed by today`s political views.
