World History I Reading Assignment #7 The Islamic World

The readings for this week are: Stearns, Saunders and Brown (emailed). Answer the following question (minimum 500 words), based only on the Brown article: What points of view does Brown provide that contradict traditionally held views about the Islamic world?

Remember the following: You dont need to write out the above question. The weekly assignments do not relate to all the readings, but for class discussion and especially for the Final, you are expected to have read everything. Be careful with the Turnitin % - it should not be above 10%. You need to practice paraphrasing instead of copying out sentences from the Reader. If you dont write enough words or if your Turnitin % is high, you will only get credit (1 point). If the Turnitin % is very high, obviously you wont get any points. The Reading Assignment is part of your in-class participation grade, so obviously I dont want to receive it after class.
