This week, Gold Rush attendees were the first to hear that our guest speaker for the New Year Showcase will be none other than multimillionaire, Duncan Bannatyne. The charismatic, no-nonsense investor on the hugely successful BBC2 show Dragons Den made his way from a poverty-stricken childhood to becoming one of Englands best-known entrepreneurs. With no skills or previous business acumen, Bannatyne began his entrepreneurial life with one single ice cream van. It was his drive, and that alone, that took him through his journey from King of the 99s with Duncans Super Ices to multi-millionaire nursing home owner to where he is today director of Bannatyne Enterprises, overseeing health clubs, a casino, housing developments and hotels. Quoted on The Sunday Times 2009 Rich List as having wealth to the tune of 320m, Duncan holds an OBE and was recently awarded an honorary Doctor of Science from Glasgow Caledonian University for services to business and charity and an honorary Doctor of Business from the University of Teesside. Over 30 charities have benefited from Duncans involvement and he has recently launched the Bannatyne Charitable Trust to support worthwhile causes. In short, he is one of Britains biggest success stories. Just thought Id let you know, Silver Distributor Peter Macdonald in our team got an email through about a catalogue request the other day. He dropped off a catalogue and picked it up today with an order for 78.50. Toby Acton Bronze Senior Executive Distributor
Angel and I would like to say a big thank you to all those involved with the TV ad campaign and the email notifications we get when a customer requests a catalogue. We received an email last week to advise us that a local lady, Jackie, had requested a catalogue. I clicked the link to inform the company that we would deliver one to her. She only lived 5 minutes away, just outside the area that we drop our books, and she had a catalogue through her door within a few hours of the request. What a great service. That evening she called us to ask for another order form as the first was full! When I dropped it off the next morning she completed her order for 154. She has recently moved to the UK from the USA and needed loads of stuff for the house so she sent the text after seeing the TV ad. We think it is fantastic that Kleeneze support us, the network, in this way. In the last 3 years since we joined the company has gone from strength to strength. I did just that and dropped 200 catalogues, including the prospective customer and collected 24 orders totalling 355.50 in orders. Currently at the 18% pin level, I have earned 117.31. Thats 16.75p an hour. UNBELIEVABLE! Jason Jones, Silver Distributor We received an email from Kleeneze asking us to drop a catalogue to an address in our area, and after a bit of searching found a door behind a shop which was marked flat A and flat B. As we dont usually put books through these types of doors (because its often difficult to find out which person picked up the package), I sent a text to the person who requested the catalogue asking her to ensure that it was her who retrieved it. I said that I would collect it the following morning. She texted me back saying that she would leave the book outside before going to bed. When it wasnt there this morning I sent another message to remind her. Within a few minutes of me driving off I got a text saying that it was there now. I turned around and went back to find an order for 73.75. Thank you Kleeneze for finding a customer for us that we would never have found ourselves. Anyway, I got some orders to the value of 166, so I thought this is the way to go - let me get out there and start earning some serious money. Last week I dropped over 100 catalogues and I got 865 in orders. To say Im thrilled is an understatement.
