CHOOSING YOUR GOWN AND HAT SIZES FOR GRADUATION Use the information below to determine the size of gown and hat that you require for graduation. Please make a note of these so that you have the information available when you log in to the Universitys online system to register your intention to attend graduation. The system opens in March for those wishing to attend summer graduations and in November for those wishing to attend winter graduations. GOWN SIZES Gown sizes are based on height and do not relate to clothing sizes. Please note the gown size you require based on the measurements below. Height up to 53 (162 cm) 54 to 57 (163 to 172 cm) 58 to 511 (173 to 182 cm) 60 (182 cm) and over Code A B C D

HAT SIZES AND HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD Take a measuring tape and place it around the circumference of the head, slightly above the ears, with the tape held fairly closely to the head. Measure your head and then compare the measurement with the table below to find your nearest hat size. If you dont have a tape measure, then use a piece of string or wool to measure around your head and then check the length using a ruler or other measure. When you have found your nearest hat side, please make a note of the code.
