Familiar with : Windows O/S: Windows Professional 2000/03/08, XP, VISTA, Windows 7 Knowledge of : Windows Explorer, DOS Commands, NotePad Editor Understanding of Client Server & Web application is helpful Knowledge of MS SQL Server Database ( RDBMS ) and SQL is helpful Basic Programming ( C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, COBOL, Fortran, etc ) concepts preferred but not required ! Concept of Automated Testing : Recording and Playback of tests QTPs Testing Process, Active Screens & DataTables Properties of an Object & Using the Object Spy Understanding the Object Repository Defining & Understanding Synchronization statements Checkpoints ( Standard, Text, Bitmaps, Images & Database ) Debugging in QTP ( Breakpoints, Variables, Single Step Execution ) Understanding & Modifying the QTP setting ( Record & Run-Time ) settings Customizing messages using the Reporter object Basic Programming Skills using VBScript ( Programming Language ) Msgbox and Inputbox Creating a Data Driven Test Using the Data Driver Wizard Introduction to designing Multiple Action files ( Modular Programming ) Understanding : DataTables, Sheets & Iterations Using & Managing the Associate Repositories Checkpoint & DataTable Parameterization Sharing information in a script ( ENVIRONMENT variables ) Outputting AUT information ( via OUTPUTstatement ) Intermediate Programming in VB Script ( Language ) : Loops & Rowcounts Creating & effectively using Multiple Action files Database Checkpoints Understanding the RANDOM feature & effective use of the RANDOM number generator More Techniques in developing a Data Driven Test

 Using Formulas in MS Excel Web Properties & Web Checkpoints Web Functions & Web Objects A minimum of three (3) Applications will be tested as a part of our learning QTP in this course.
