This war was fought between Maharana Pratap Singh of Mewar and Mughal empror Akbar of Delhi. This was a 4 hour battle. Cause Nearly all the Rajputs kingdoms had surrendered under Mughal ruler expect Mewar who was unwilling to compromise. Akbar had sent many massengers to have talks on peace treaties he said that he will sign on his own terms that he would not tolerate the leader ship of any foreign rulers because of this bold stand of Rana Pratap, Mughals decided to fight against Rana Pratap, also allied by Raja Man Singh of Amber. Effects This was a four hour battle. 1. 3. After the battle, maharana pratap had stop using all the earthly pleasures such as bed to sleep, gold and silverware to eat and a palace to live. 2. Maharana Pratap retreated into the hilly wilderness of the Aravallis and continued his struggle. 3. Akbar dispatched three more expeditions to find out Maharana pratap out of his mountainous hideouts, but they all failed. 4. he captured Udaipur and named it Mohammadabad and likewise Chittorgarh was named Akbarabad.
