Mangrove Research Expedition Overview

The researchers took a boat through a mangrove plantation to reach their study site. Some students chose to stay in tents they built at the research area, while others stayed in rooms. Samples of six preliminary mangrove species were collected from the research area during the students' first trip, and photos show some of the many mangrove species growing along the coast in the plantation.

DOCUMENTATIONS

This picture was taken when the researchers are on their way to the study site. They were able to pass through the other parts of the mangrove plantation as the boats brought them to their destination.

While the other students have chosen to stay at the rooms being managed by the people in Prieto Diaz, some students have decided to build their tent and stay there for the rest of the research proper.

These are samples of mangrove species taken from the research area during the first trip of the students in the sample area. Six (6) species were preliminarily recognized during the trip.

These are some of the mangroves growing along the coastal area in the plantation. These are just some of the many mangrove species that you can enjoy watching as you travel around the vicinity of the vast plantation.
