Visiting Fictitious Brunei Scott Abel Paper #1: January 26, 2006 Bordering the country of Malaysia is the

tiny Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam. The nation is ruled by a benevolent sultan and his son the crown prince who help make their country paradise. They live in a huge palace with many golden onion towers on it for roofs and the palace has a white faade. The people are happy with their government and there is no terrorism or violence in this nation. The sultanate has miles upon miles of clean white beaches where tourists come for vacations. In the interior of the country there are miles and miles of undisturbed rain forests and woodlands. The ocean and inland waters are clean and unpolluted. The agricultural industry produces rice, varied fruits and vegetables, and a large cattle population. Tourist can also visit cities that are built on stilts so that they may be built over water and there is also a theme park to visit. Furthermore, there are many holidays that Brunei celebrates, such as the National Day celebration where the locals prepare for the celebration two months ahead of time. There is no poverty in Brunei, because there is a large oil industry. There is an oil and natural gas industry that brings the nation enormous wealth and prosperity. The oil money doesnt just go to a few people as in other Islamic nations, but it reaches all segments of the population. The immigration laws are strict and unemployed persons cannot come into the country without permission. Furthermore, there is political and religious freedom in this country. Brunei is a wealthy sultanate that has prosperity that many nations can only dream of.
