O God of infinite creativity, at the beginning of this New Year, we know that you are about to do a new thing. Help us to perceive it. And join it. We come into this place of worship seeking your presence. May our hearts be open to hear you speak through the scripture, words of wisdom, prayers and songs. May this new year be filled with hope, love, joy and peace that we have held through the Christmas season. We pray as Jesus taught us to pray for your kingdom saying, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
* THE GLORIA IN EXCELSIS......No. 155
Hear our prayer, O Lord, hear our prayer, O Lord, incline thine ear to us, and grant us thy peace. Amen.
