Inhalants are caused by more than one chemical. Some of the chemicals get absorbed by fatty tissues in the brain. This causes the brain to slow down the transmission of messages from the nerve fibers to the brain. It can also damage brain cells by preventing it from receiving oxygen. If inhalants are used to often it is addicting and could lead to death.

2. What physical effects occur?


Physical effects of using inhalants are that it could damage our brains memory and is ability to be able to solve complex problems. It also causes a rapid heartbeat and may cause heart failure.

3. What social effects occur?


Social effects are that you may have a tremendous drop in grades, and have trouble comprehending information that is given to you.

4. What are the legal issues associated with this substance?


Inhalants can be found in legal products found in your own house, therefore it is legal.
