Boards and Committees of The Norwich Congregational Church, UCC

Church Council Chair Vice Chair At-Large Member Representatives from the Deacons, the Trustees, the Board of Christian Education, and the Board of Mission The Pastor Boards The Board of Deacons consists of 6 members. The spiritual ministry of the church is their responsibility. The Board of Trustees Consists of 6 members. They are responsible for the funds and property of the church. The Board of Mission consists of 6 members. They promote and interpret the mission of the United Church of Christ and expressions of this mission in our church community. The Board of Christian Education consists of 6 members. They supervise and coordinate childrens and adult education activities within the church. Committees The Hospitality Committee provides refreshment and a welcoming atmosphere after worship and at special events. The Music Committee works with the music staff to provide for music for services and for outreach. The Flower Committee provides for flowers at worship services. The Stewardship Committee organizes the annual stewardship drive and provides year-round stewardship activities, enlisting the help of the wider congregation. The Investment Committee manages investment and reinvestment of church funds. The Nominating Committee prepares a list of nominees for the elected offices of the church for annual meeting and recommends candidates for uncompleted terms during the year. The Woodworth Fund Committee receives and review applications for grants from this fund.
