Working Environments Mohd Shahreez Johari (2007143707) y Another reason that we suggest that the government should not

t call back Malaysian graduates who are working overseas is the working environment in Malaysia. As an example, government servants especially teachers have much workloads when working in Malaysia. Workloads such as clerical work and no-academic activities are a burden to the teachers who already have much work in teaching.

In United State for example, it is completely different system from what we have in our country. Teachers only responsibility is to teach and he or she is not involved in other activities such as sports or troublesome clerical works. In fact, there are specific jobs for sports coaches such as Basketball coach or football coach. Teachers did not have to be the coach for the students and he or she can concentrate on teaching. Moreover, there are also positions in the administration of the school or institutions which are not being handed to teachers responsibility.

Other than that, when they are abroad, individual talents would get the chance to grow in their favorable environment which they get more supports and have more opportunities to flourish.

Outside Malaysia, the working environment is like the second home to the workers. Companies are racing to make their working place as comfortable as they can in assuring that their workers enjoy themselves when working. Some even decorate or renovate their offices to the extent of like they are working outdoor with trees and pool. Malaysian graduates get many privileges when working outside Malaysia such as the husband of a pregnant wife could take work leave until the child is born and some could get extra time during break such as smoking break and others.

In Malaysia, government could not care less to the needs of the workers. Less attention paid to the workers right which make the working environment in our country to be less interesting and for people who work in an office would feel like a zombie as the environment made them unable to enjoy working and some might feels that working in such environment took away their joy of working. Thats the reason why our graduates choose to work abroad which offers good environment for them.

In my opinion, government should not be calling back Malaysian graduates who are working abroad. As we already know, government still fighting the most critical issue in our country which is the high rate of unemployment among graduate. Why bother yourself learning for almost six years in higher education and when you finished your study, you are just the same with everybody else, the endless row of unemployed people. This is another reason for the graduates to find other options outside instead of only apply for jobs which you did not know when will you get to know if you are accepted or not.

Government should not be calling back Malaysia graduates who are working outside Malaysia as the government is forcing them to quit their job and sometimes the jobs that they have to quit are the one that they have been working or studying so hard in earning the place or positions which would turn their life around. What makes the government to be, when the government asks the graduates to come back and join the endless row of unemployed people? Will they be as productive as they should be OR they are just jobless people and creating more problems to the country?

In conclusion to my points, the government should not be calling back Malaysian graduates who are working abroad. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong for the graduate in getting better living standard abroad. Everyone has their own condition; we should not prevent ones right of seeking better life.
