December 2011 Princeton Families, The great Greek philosopher Plato once said, The beginning is the most

important part of the work. While we wish you an enjoyable and relaxing break this is a reminder that when our students return to classes, it will be the beginning of second semester. Students will begin our first day back on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, by reporting directly to their CORE to receive their second semester schedules, locker combinations and to reflect and plan on their new beginning. First semester consisted of many things for Vikings to celebrate. We had many students earn Honor Roll, raise their GPAs, conquer their OGTs and register, prepare and take their ACTs and SATs. Many seniors have applied and on their way to being accepted to college and implementing their PLANS. It is a great time to be a Viking and part of the Princeton Advantage. While we plan for the beginning of what we anticipate to be an even better second semester, we need your help! In addition to speaking to your students about them, please be reminded of the following expectations, Students are not permitted to wear leggings, spandex, yoga pants, tights or jeggings as a single article of clothing. These types of pants must be covered by a dress, shorts or skirt that is finger-tip length. Students who fail to follow this expectation will be sent home or to In-School Suspension until someone can bring them a change of clothing. In the event they repeat the offense, students may risk being placed in In- School Suspension longer or Out-OfSchool Suspension, and not to return without a mandatory parent meeting. Students should remove all hats once in the building and place them in their lockers with their backpacks - which need to stay in their lockers during the entire school day. Students must report to CORE. This is an opportunity for our students to build positive relationships with our teachers and staff, and be encouraged and advised with planning for their futures and keeping up with their academics. CORE is not optional and skipping CORE is the equivalent to skipping a class. Looking forward to a great 2012,

The PHS Administrative Team
