POST TRANSCRIPTIONAL GENE SILENCING

BY:HINA AGRAVAL T.Y. BSC BIOTECHNOLOGY, GOVERNMENT SCIENCE COLLEGE, KHOKHRA,AHMEDABAD.

DEFINATION
Post transcriptional gene silencing is a mechanism where the presence of certain fragments of double stranded RNA interferes with the expression of a particular gene which shares a homologous sequence with this dsRNA.

Post transcriptional gene silencing is also known as RNA interference.
