MORE EVIDENCE DALTONS GREEN ENERGY PLAN HAS FAILED

NORTH BAY -- PC Energy Critic and Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli wants to know how many more experts Dalton McGuinty plans to ignore before admitting his green energy experiment is a failure. Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, recently told a gathering of farmers in southwestern Ontario that the wind power industry is a destroyer of wealth and negative to the economy. (Chatham Daily News, Jan. 5, 2012) Moore went on to say wind farms are ridiculously expensive and dont work half the time. This echoes exactly what weve been saying about whats wrong with Dalton McGuintys green energy policy, said Fedeli. The FIT program pays out massive subsidies for green energy that drives up the cost of electricity for Ontario businesses and families, said Fedeli, who also noted Moore is the just the latest in a long line of experts whove knocked the green energy folly Dalton McGuinty continues to back. Weve had the Auditor General condemn it, weve had the Environment Commissioner say the governments Smart Meter program has been a dismal failure, and now the co-founder of Greenpeace is sounding this alarm, added Fedeli. Dalton McGuinty can no longer ignore the avalanche of evidence that his green energy policy is a bust and must end now.
