Population and Sample The student-respondents in this study is the total of 40 in the special science class.

The selected section are Linnaeus and Leeuwenhoek in second year class. Both groups of students are enrolled at Ilocos Sur National High School for the school year 2011-2012.

Statistical Treatment The grades of the students in the study were taken from the gradesheets of the advisers for the second year Linnaeus and Leeuwenhoek . The formula used in the study is the sum of the grades of the students(male and female) for the three quarters divided by the number of the students in order to get the average in Biology. The ranges of the study to find the adjective rating as followed: Scores Ranges 89- above 86-88 83-85 80-82 Level Very good Good (G) Poor (P) Needs Improvement (NI)
